color theory 101: doing white right

A sweet gal named Shauna practically handed today's post to me on a silver platter last week, when she asked me this: I love your blog and I actually came to it today hoping for some info on color! We just moved into our first house and it is 2200 square feet of builder’s beige. I really want to paint our main living area white because I see it in so many of the pinterest homes I love!
